Karen Katz: The Exit Interview



Karen talks opportunities, difficult decisions and her 32 year career in a wide-ranging interview with WWD. Culminating in her time as CEO of Nieman Marcus, Karen discusses her turnaround efforts at the business and how she has believes that upscale luxury stores have a long way to go yet, commenting “It’s all about seeing product that is unique. I actually believe luxury customers are ready and willing to spend if they can find interesting things that emotionally resonate with her. There is nothing in our viewpoint that says [luxury] is no longer relevant.”
